Introduction[]
Anubis Higeki '(アヌビスの悲, Anubisu no higeki) is a pirate. He is the step-son of the Gods of Night leader, Death D. Asurha, grandson of the famed Pirate, Helios Granz , and the step brother of Death D. Asura, Catalyst, and Grell Smiles. His life long goal is to become the Pirate King by finding the legendary treasure left behind by the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger. He believes that being Pirate King means one has the most freedom in the world. He has eaten the Banajiumu Banajiumu no Mi .
As the founder and captain of the Tradgity Pirates , he is the first member that makes up the crew as well as one of its top three fighters. Anubis was one of eleven rookie pirates who had been referred to as "The Eleven Supernovas", the eleven pirates with bounties over 
100,000,000 to have reached the Red Line, but never made it to Sabaody Archipelago being split from his crew after the time-skip. Anubis's current bounty is 300,000,000, as stated by Akainu after the timeskip, and confirmed by one of the readings from a Pacifista.
Anubis has a worldwide reputation for causing trouble, even among the Shichibukai and the Marines, committing crimes against - as well as actions that were deemed threatening by - the World Government.
He has gained a reputation for being 'reckless' and, in some cases, 'insane', after causing an incident in Enies Lobby trying to escape capture after wandering in, entering as a captive and escaping from Impel Down, and joining the Battle of the Death. He is, therefore, famous for being the only pirate to enter into the two of the most important government facilities, but also escape from all of them alive.

Anubis is a slender, yet fairly muscular, male that towers over most people. His usual get up is a black shirt with an navy blue jacket with black skin tight jeans. Anubis hair is a mixture of black, blue, and white.
Anubis on his right ring finger was a ring, which was red in colour and bears the kanji for Vermilion (朱, shu). He also wore dark purple nail polish on his fingers and toes and a necklace with three metal circles or rings on it. He also wore a Log Pose on his right arm. After the Battle of the Death, Asura gave him a replica version of hissneakers that have Breath Dials and white gloves that have the kanji for Death(死,Shi) enscribed on them that have Flame Dials and Jet Dials blended into the knuckels of these fingerless gloves to wear to replace his boots and gloves adding his own special cross to both.
