The Elegant Pirates is a pirate crew that was formed within North Blue by their Captain, Nigh D. Norwin. Despite being a pirate crew, they refuse to be referred to as such, as they refer to themselves as an "Elegant Crew". With this in mind, they don't even consider themselves pirates, as they refuse to be put into the same group as "Dirty Underdogs of the World". Despite all this, however, the crew is famous throughout Paradise for their unique way of fighting, Ballroom Kenpo.

Because of their stubbornness to be considered a Pirate Crew, the Elegant Pirates decided to have their flag have an image of a man and woman doing ballroom dancing under a star with a crescent, representing the moon, on the right of them. They believe that ballroom dancing is most elegant when done under a crescent moon and starry night.
