Strengths and WeaknessesEdit

While seemingly a passive ability at first glance, the Gloss Gloss Fruit provides some reliable assistance for its user if taken advantage of. As it constantly coats its user in a reflective layer, the main power of the fruit lies in its ability to instantly reflect any source of light that comes into contact with the user. This power can be used in a variety of ways, depending on how the user makes use of it. Effects can range from illuminating otherwise darkened areas by redirecting light shone upon the user, to intensifying the light and then unleashing it as a laser for offensive uses, such as battle.

The downside to the Devil Fruit's properties is that it cannot do much more than redirect photon pathways. Plus, it's limited by the creativeness and resourcefulness of its user. If the user cannot think up more inventive ways to use the Devil Fruit, then that will be the extent of the fruit's overall power. Furthermore, if the user is without a reliable source of light, such as being stuck in a pitch-black room, then the user will be rendered powerless. Finally, the user suffers from standard Devil Fruit weaknesses, such as being unable to swim and losing energy when in contact with sea water and seastone.

An additional side effect to the Gloss Gloss Fruit's powers is the immunity to photon related damage, such as that produced by lasers; as the Devil Fruit will instantly reflect the light that comes into contact with the user.
