Edit: it has been mentioned to me (thanks Kiryo) that the new updates don't have as much CSS control as past ones, which potentially makes it much harder to work with. There's a petition to enable more code control here community.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:1257754 . I've signed it because I really think we need the flexibility. Anyone else who understands the situation, please consider doing the same.

To be fair, I can see how this might be a technically better design.. if they'd had this right from the start instead of letting us have years of getting used to the quirks of what was there. As it stands they've broken our css and made the menu a lot more awkward and uggly, and not actually added anything we didn't have already... [long angry rant goes here]
I'm telling them this of course, but based on their track record, we're basically stuck with the new version. So we need to rework the style sheets etc so it doesn't look hideously ugly. And probably alter the menues a little as well. So on that note, anybody got any suggestions for what we should do with this? Bonus points if you have actual code for making said suggestions happen..
